Unfortunately, the movie was a major disappointment but I can't have a blog like this and NOT add a link to this magnificent David 8 teaser – a great riff on the android legacy. I'll save my film critique for another day.
As Easy as 1, 2… C?
This is just cruel and it makes me laugh every time I buy a ticket for the Metro in Washington, DC. Bureaucratic interface design? Design by committee? Some could view this mayhem as symbolic of other issues in that particular town.
Climate Change
Ever wonder how they film a rainy New York street scene when the sun is shining? Well, here's how it's done. Rain on...Rain off… Keep movin' folks.
Systems & Games: A Collaboration with the International Red Cross
I'm looking forward to working with my fellow Parsons MFADT (Design & Technology) classmates in partnership with the International Red Cross to develop a "non-digital" disaster and flood preparedness solution for the Zambezi River Basin Initiative. We will be focusing our efforts on a region of Namibia that experiences frequent flooding. Our challenge is to develop a lightweight, portable and engaging "game" system that will help the villagers prepare for future floods. The challenge for us will be to fully understand the region, the culture and the people while developing a meaningful gaming experience that can be deployed in a region with limited access to the basic necessities that so many of us take for granted. Analog Subway Performance
After writing endless lines of code and programming gizmos all day and all night, it's nice to catch a non-digital performance like this before hopping on the subway to head home. He is not a robot.
